Teulo Talks LIVE in Queenstown
Cargo Brew Hall, Arthurs Point
The second stop on the Teulo Talks LIVE circuit brought us south to Queenstown, where Cargo Brew Hall delivered the perfect alpine backdrop. Surrounded by mountain views and lined with warm timber detailing, the venue set a relaxed yet design-forward tone—just minutes from the heart of town. Drinks in hand, music weaving through the space, and conversations sparking at every table, it was clear this was more than your standard CPD night.
Once again, Brian Wickersham, FAIA, founding partner of AUX Architecture, took the stage and inspired the room. His keynote on adaptive reuse built on the momentum from Auckland, reframing it not as a sustainability checkbox but as a design philosophy for the future. Through real-world cultural, residential, and institutional projects, he showed how reimagining existing structures can honour context, engage communities, and create work built to last.
One attendee scored a 1:1 mentorship with Brian. The rest left with 20 NZRAB CPD points, 2 LBP points, and a fresh perspective on what’s possible when design leads with purpose.
